It will be at least two weeks before a vote on dissolving the group that oversees Anniston’s former Army property. This is the second time in a month the McClellan Development Authority’s board of directors has postponed the vote to dissolve the board.
Board Chairman Phil Webb says their goal is to do what’s best for the city, county and region. Even with the decision to postpone the vote, some board members believe they should dissolve the board sooner rather than later because of insufficient revenue.
The board is expected to come to an agreement at the next meeting on January 24th.
