Flu Outbreak Puts Hold on Hospital Visitations

Saturday, January 13, 2018

A local hospital is restricting visitation due to the outbreak of flu cases. As flu activity increases across the state, Northeast Alabama Regional Medical Center Hospitals are implementing restrictions for patient visitors. RMC is asking people to reschedule visits with family members who are hospitalized.

If you do visit someone in the hospital, limit the number of people and the amount of time you spend with them. Since children are most likely to get sick and spread the flu, visits from children 12 and under are temporarily prohibited.
