The maker of Mary B’s biscuits is recalling more than a dozen different brands of biscuits due to a risk of Listeria. Hom/Ade Foods says the problem was discovered in a product sampling conducted by an outside co-packer. So far, there have been no reports of illness.
The Mary B’s products affected are frozen bagged biscuits. All with “Best If Used By” dates before September 23, 2018. Customers are urged to return the affected products to the place of purchase for a full refund.
Listeria is an organism that can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, frail or elderly people and others with weakened immune systems.
