A Gadsden man faces felony charges in connection to the brutal attack of a woman. Investigators say Brian Bell choked, punched, and slapped a woman in the face. The woman had visible marks on her neck, face, ear and bruising to her arm.

Bell is charged with domestic violence by strangulation of suffocation. He has also been served with a protection order issued from a previous domestic violence incident. Bell is being held in the Etowah County Detention Center on a $5,000 bond.

As a condition of his bond, he is not to have any contact with the victim.
