Two Fort Payne men face felony charges in regards to drug trafficking. Etowah County Drug Enforcement Unit Deputy Commander Phil Sims says agents received information of methamphetamine being delivered from Fort Payne to a grocery store on Highway 411 in Etowah County.
Agents set up surveillance and arrested Da’Quon Adams and Rodriqueaz Thompson. Thompson tried to run away but agents took him into custody after a short foot chase. Agents recovered about 30 grams of methamphetamine.
Adams and Thompson are being held in the Etowah County Detention Center on a $50,000 surety bond each. The investigation is still ongoing and both men could face additional state and federal charges.
