Tuesday, February 13, 2018

Friends and family hold a ceremony to remember a college student gone too soon. 23 year-old Justin Tinker was killed Tuesday, February 6th after a car hit him on Alabama Highway 204. Family, friends, teachers, and peers gathered to remember Tinker. With tea candles in hand, people listened and reflected on the person Tinker was and how he will live on.

Active Minds President and friend to Tinker, Paris Coleman says life is too short. Tinker was crossing the Ladiga Trail on Alabama Highway 204 near campus. He was taken to Anniston Regional Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.

A source says the driver, also a JSU student, was texting when the crash occurred. Tinker was studying Chemistry at JSU.
