Saturday, February 17, 2018

Hundreds of teachers and students learn about the importance of water at a local college. Gadsden State Community College hosted the 17th annual Etowah County Water Festival. Around 1,200 fourth grade teachers and students from all over the county attended the water fun day.

The festival is designed to educate students about all the aspects of groundwater with hands-on activities. Keep Etowah Beautiful Executive Director Lisa Dover says it’s important for the children to learn this information.

Dover says in the many years she has been part of the Water Festival, it never gets old. She says the students always want to come back.
