An annual update lets members of a business organization know what can be expected in the upcoming year. The Calhoun County Chamber of Commerce held its 16th annual Economic Forum at Jacksonville State University's School of Business and Industry. The annual meeting lets members know how the local and regional economy is doing in comparison to last year.
JSU Professor Mark Hearn says things are looking positive. Hearn says many Chamber members are searching for new employees and some are willing to pay a little more.
JSU’s School of Business and Development Center is constantly monitoring economic growth and puts out a newsletter once a month with the updates.
