A JSU Fraternity is Cycling to a Challenge

Friday, March 2, 2018

A Jacksonville State University Fraternity pledges 100 hours of stationary cycling to a challenge that will help shape the lives of many of our neighbors who are living with disabilities. Pi Kappa Phi members have been riding a stationary bike on the square since Monday.

The Ability Experience is a nonprofit organization that serves people with disabilities. The fraternity raises money through sponsors who donate $0.50 per hour. Biology major and Pi Kappa Phi member Caden Pate says even with the storm earlier today, they are continuing their mission to peddle for this great cause.

Pate says by the time they are finished on Friday at 4pm they will have ridden the bike for 1,600 miles. Pi Kappa Phi currently has 46 brothers and each one has put in several hours riding the bike.
