A Calhoun County schools Counselor is recognized for her outstanding work. During the Calhoun County Commission Meeting this week, Commissioners recognized Wellborn Elementary School counselor Mindi Wilkins-Amberson.

The Alabama School Counselor Association recently named Wilkins-Amberson the 2018 School Counselor of the Year. She says everything she does is for the well-being of the students.

Wilkins-Amberson has been a counselor for five years and will be presenting at the National School Counselor meeting this summer, where she will speak to counselors from all over the country about the counseling program at Welburn Elementary.
