Oxford Fire and Police Department Host Charity Basketball Game

A local rivalry has developed on the basketball court and it's all for a good cause. Oxford Police Department will face off against the Oxford Fire Department Thursday night to help support Wesley Lyons and his family. 

 

Wesley is a 3-year-old boy who was diagnosed with Leukemia in December. Oxford Fire Department Lieutenant Brandon Slick says it’s all about being there for the ones that matter most. Slick also says the game is a good time to come out have fun and help a family in need.

 

 The game will start at 5pm Thursday evening at the Oxford Civic Center. The Oxford City Schools Jacket Singsations will be the halftime entertainment.
