Dog Treats Recall

Wednesday, March 28, 2018

Two types of dog treats are being recalled because they may contain too much beef thyroid hormone. Both treats are Milo’s Kitchen brand made by the JM Smucker Company. The recall involves the Grilled Burger Bites with sweet potato and bacon, and the steak grillers recipe with angus steak treats.

The FDA says the food can make dogs extra thirsty and restless- also leading to weight loss and increased heart rate. The symptoms should go away once you stop giving your dog these treats, but the symptoms become more severe if the dog has been eating the treats for a while.

The FDA says you should contact a vet immediately if your dog has been eating the treats and is breathing heavily and vomiting.
