Former Atlanta Falcons and Denver Broncos head coach Dan Reeves paid a visit to East Alabama on Tuesday.
Reeves was a guest at Classic on Noble in Anniston. The coach came on behalf of the Tom Landry Associates Program that works in conjunction with the Fellowship of Christian Athletes. Reeves played for Coach Landry and later coached alongside the hall of famer. Tuesday's event helps with the Cheaha Valley FCA and Reeves says it is an honor to give back to the program that helped him.

Reeves' football resume is about as strong as it comes in the game. He participated in a combined nine Super Bowls as a player and coach. That marks the second highest next to Patriots head coach Bill Belichick. Reeves was a head coach for 23 seasons with the Broncos, Giants and Falcons. Before that he played eight seasons as a running back for Coach Landry’s Dallas Cowboys. The Rome, Georgia native talked about how much the game has changed since his playing days. Reeves says he likes football’s initiative on player safety and wants it to continue so every can enjoy the game.
