One of Gadsden’s most visible public parks is getting a face lift. The Gadsden City Council has approved a $2.2 Million project for Moragne Park. The renovations will be handled by Boatner Construction Company of Rainbow City.
Administrative Assistant to the mayor, Shane Ellison says doing business with local companies keeps tax dollars in Etowah County. Last week, the council approved more than $300,000 for new playground equipment for the park. City Engineer Heath Williamson says once completed the park will offer guests a large green space with three new pavilions, new restrooms, and more. Williamson says he hopes the project will be finished by August or September.
