Wanted Georgia Sex Offender Found and Arrested in Alabama
A wanted sex offender is found and arrested. DeKalb County Sheriff Jimmy Harris says John Scroggins attempted to move from Rossville, Georgia to DeKalb County in the Kilpatrick community. Scroggins refused to register with the county as a sex offender and had not been given permission by Georgia Pardon and Parole or Alabama Pardon and Parole to move.
Deputies obtained a warrant for Scroggins arrest, but were told he had left the home in the Kilpatrick community where he had been staying. After a short search Scroggins was found and arrested. He now faces several charges with additional charges pending.
