Florida Teen Arrested For Threat Towards Fort Payne High School

A Florida teen that made a terrorist threat involving a local high school is now behind bars. Authorities say Anthony Kessler is being held in the DeKalb County Jail without bond. The 19 years old is accused of threatening a shooting at Fort Payne High School. 


Law enforcement says Kessler made the threat on March 5th, claiming the shooting would happen the next day. Fort Payne Detectives and the FBI investigated the threat. Kessler was taken into custody in Fort Myers, Florida on March 28th. Kessler is a resident of Lehigh Acres, Florida, which is more than 700 miles from Fort Payne. Police have not said why Kessler made the threat.
