A judge has agreed to lower bond for the youth evangelist from Etowah County who is facing numerous child sex abuse allegations. Acton Bowen is charged with with two counts of second-degree sodomy, two counts of enticing a child for immoral purposes, and three counts of second-degree sexual abuse. A Circuit Judge issued an order reducing Bowen’s bond, but imposing strict conditions if he is released.
Bowen’s bond has been reduced to $455,000 and changed from a cash bind to a property bond. If Bowen is released from jail, he must be supervised at all times by one of his parents, and be placed under house arrest at their home in St. Clair County. Bowen must also give up all cell phones and electronic devices. Bowen is known around the world for his ministry.
