Four men accused of robbing a bank lead law enforcement on a high speed chase and find themselves on the receiving end of a pit maneuver. Police Officers received a 911 call and a Silent Alarm from Small Town Bank in Heflin. Several officers, including Heflin Police Chief A.J. Benefield immediately headed responded. While on their way, an officer spotted a Dodge Avenger with four men matching the descriptions of the suspected robbers. The officer turned around and followed the car.

The suspects drove south on Highway nine South then headed east on Interstate 20, where as you can see here, an officer executed a pit maneuver with the car causing the driver to lose control. Once the car came to a stop, police apprehended one man immediately, while the others ran into the woods.

With the help of K-9 units the other three were captured quickly.
