Piedmont Baseball Preps for State Quarterfinals

Friday, May 4, 2018

The Piedmont Bulldogs are one of the final eight teams left in the Class 3A playoffs. The Bulldogs will host Lauderdale County in the quarterfinal round tomorrow night. Piedmont had to replace a lot from last year’s team that made it to the state championship series and they have found their groove. They have won 11 of their last 12 games averaging seven runs per contest.

Meanwhile, Lauderdale County is 18-13 on the season. Like Piedmont, they enter the matchup rolling. The Tigers have won five straight and seven of their last nine.
