A non-profit will have a week to show the men and women in blue they are appreciated. The Calhoun County Commissioners presented a $5,000 donation to the The Alabama Law Enforcement Appreciation Foundation. The non-profit will take that money and show law enforcement in Calhoun and Cleburne County how much they are appreciated.
Oxford Police Department Executive Officer Jake Durham says it means a lot. National Police Week begins next week, May 14th through May 18th. The ALEAF is a non-profit that was formed by the citizens of Calhoun and Cleburne Counties in order to promote and support local law enforcement.
