An organization that normally helps small businesses is looking to help anyone affected by the March 19th tornados. The US Small Business Administration is working alongside FEMA to offer low-interest loans to help renters, homeowners, businesses and non-profits affected by the tornados.
Those looking to apply for a loan do not have to wait for an insurance settlement. US Small Business Administration Public Affairs Specialist Brian Beard says people can apply for a loan.
There will be 3 Disaster Recovery Centers in each of the counties affected by the tornados. Beard also says homeowners and renters can get a loan for as little as 1.83%, for non-profits a loan can start as low at 2.5% and businesses start at 3.85%.
