A Southside woman is facing felony charges in connection to the chemical endangerment of a child. Investigators say Jessica Jenkins admitted to using heroin, Suboxone and methamphetamine while pregnant. Jenkins also tested positive for several other opioids.

She is being held in the Etowah County Detention Center on a $10,000 cash bond. Jenkins is also charged with unlawful possession of a controlled substance. As a condition of her bond, Jenkins must successfully complete a drug treatment program and will be supervised by The Etowah Court Referral Office once she is released.
