Dear Future Me Campaign Encourages Participants to Write Letters to Future Selves

Tuesday, May 15, 2018

Millions are dedicating this week to bringing awareness to substance abuse and mental health issues. May 13th through the 19th is National Prevention Week. This year’s theme is “Action Today. Healthier Tomorrow”. The Alabama Department of Mental Health is hosting or participating in several activities designed to increase awareness and engagement during the week.

The ADMH is also encouraging everyone to participate in the Dear Future Me campaign. People are asked to write their future selves a positive letter or picture. Then record themselves reading it back. Then, you share your video using the hashtag Dear Future Me. This campaign spreads the word about living a happier life, and encouraging others to do the same.

For more information about National Prevention Week you can visit the ADMH website or give them a call.
