Another disaster recovery center opens in Jacksonville and is offering as much help as possible to those affected by the tornado and severe storms. The parking lot of the recently closed Winn-Dixie was full of people looking for help.
The Federal Emergency Management Agency, the Small Business Administration and several federal agencies are answering questions about the relief application process. More than a thousand people have already registered for federal disaster assistance.
FEMA spokesperson Bob Porreca says if you are denied assistance there is more than can be done. For those interested in registering for federal disaster assistance you can call the number on your screen or visit the disaster assistance website. The Disaster Recovery Center in the Jacksonville Community Center will be open through Saturday from 10am until 5pm.
