Person of Interest Found in Burned Body Case in Glencoe


Investigators have a person of interest in the case of the body found burned beyond recognition in Glencoe over the weekend. The body was found Saturday morning near a trailer behind RJ’s gas station just inside the Calhoun County line.

According to coroner Pat Brown, the body is believed to belong to a woman. Brown also confirms that dental records will have to be used to identify the homicide victim, and that it might take an entire week to get the results.

Glencoe Police Chief Tim Diggs told us today that investigators have developed a person of interest in the case. Diggs also said they are looking for an older, white Chrysler Voyager van in connection to this case.
