Identity of Burned Body Discovered

We now know the identity of the body found burned beyond recognition in Glencoe over the weekend. Calhoun County Coroner Pat Brown told TV24 that the body belonged to Kelsey Williams of Jacksonville.

Calhoun County Coroner Pat Brown said Williams died of blunt force trauma and that he believes she was set on fire after her death. Glencoe police found the woman’s body early Saturday morning when they responded to reports of a fire at a trailer behind the old RJ’s gas station just inside the Calhoun County line.

Authorities used dental records to confirm the victim’s identity. Investigators have identified one person of interest in this murder and they are now looking for a white Plymouth Voyager van in connection with Williams' death.
