A two-car collision kills two people in Cherokee County. The accident happened Wednesday night on Cherokee County Road 99, about a mile from the Alabama/Georgia state line. Authorities say a car driven by 18-year-old Ragen Hughes of Gaylesville collided with a car driven by 69-year-old Elizabeth Stalker, also of Gaylesville.
Stalker and her son, 43-year-old Carson Stalker, Jr. were both pronounced dead at the scene. Hughes was taken to an area hospital for treatment. The cause of the accident remains under investigation by state troopers.
