Former Valley Cubs Visit Old Alexandria Middle School Building Before Destruction

Saturday, June 9, 2018

A bitter-sweet day for Alexandria Valley Cubs as they completed a final walk through the old Alexandria Middle School. Hundreds of former students, educators and people who live in the area turned out today for the event.

Calhoun County Schools have built a new middle school and this old building will come down next Thursday. We caught up with one couple who first formed a special bond while they were 8 years old while attending this school.

We also spoke with other former students and one former teacher who shared with us how it felt to walk the halls one last time. As we mentioned the old Alexandria Middle School building will come down next Thursday and school officials will open the new building this fall.
