Students enrolled at all University of Alabama System campuses will pay a little more for tuition this fall. The University of Alabama System Board of Trustees has announced a 4% tuition increase for out-of-state students at UA and UAH with a 3.5% increase for the out-of-state students at UAB.
In-state students enrolled at UA won’t see a tuition increase; however, the ones enrolled at UAH will pay 4% more and UAB students will pay 2.9% more. All of the tuition increases impact only undergraduate programs. A system spokesperson says the tuition increases are necessary to fund capital projects and other campus needs.
