It was a great day to be outdoors. The United Way of East Central Alabama gathered at Oxford Lake Park to thank the donors who supported their last fundraising campaign. The current board chair, Becky Cox explains what today’s cookout was all about. Cox also said that today’s donor appreciation cookout signifies exactly what the United Way stands for.
To give you an idea of the significance of the United Way and its work, in the last year alone, more than 67,000 people were helped by the organization in some way.
