The Cherokee County Park Board is seeking help to fund projects at several public park locations. One of the main projects is to build an observation deck at Cherokee Rock Village. The deck will overlook Shinbone Ridge towards Leesburg.

The project comes with a price tag of about $40,000. The Park Board has secured about $30,000 of the cost through grants and donations. The board hopes to complete the deck project by this fall.
