Update on E-Coli Levels in Local Creeks and Rivers

Saturday, June 23, 2018

If you are planning to go swimming this weekend, the Coosa Riverkeeper wants to inform everyone of areas with moderately high to high levels of E-coli. Moderately high E-coli has tested positive in Choccolocco Creek at the Pebble Mills Bridge.

High E-coli alerts were also reported at Coldwater Creek, Pell City Lakeside Park, Big Canoe Creek, Atalla Park, and Big Wells Creek. Rain could alter these results. The Coosa Riverkeeper urges everyone anticipating to swim in these areas to swim with caution. To receive water quality alerts text SWIMGUIDE to 844-83.
