Former Alexandria Students Unearth Time Capsule Buried 30 Years Ago

Tuesday, June 26, 2018

A time capsule has sent some students back more than three decades. Childhood friends gathered today at the old Alexandria Middle School to dig up their time capsule they buried in 1986.

Stephen Hartsfield and Ted Amberson are just two of the nine 6th graders who decided to bury the time capsule and dig it up 30 years later to remember what life was like back then. Amberson shares with us what they were able to recover from the capsule.

Although most items in the capsule won’t be able to be restored, Hartsfield tells us what he enjoyed most about the recovery of the time capsule. The students who buried the time capsule say that it was a great experience that they will never forget.
