Prisoner Escapes State Custody


Prison officials are asking for you to be on the lookout for a Talladega man who escaped from state custody.

According to the Alabama Department of Corrections, James Hubbard walked away from an assigned job location in Bay Minette around 11:20 this morning. He was serving a seven year sentence for second degree theft of property and assigned to the Loxley Work Release Center in Mobile County.

Hubbard has multiple tattoos, including a skull with sword, a cross and the acronym “MOB” on his face. Anyone with information about where to find Hubbard is asked to call police.
