Marshall County Sheriff Calls for Backup to Help with Fighting Breakout in County Jail

Marshall County Sheriff was forced to call for backup when a physical altercation broke out inside the County jail. The altercation occurred during a shakedown that took place this morning. 

 

According to a spokesman for the Marshall County Sheriff’s office, a group of inmates physically engaged deputies and jail staff. Police departments from Arab, Albertville, Guntersville, and Boaz were called to the scene. During the altercation neither officers nor inmates were injured.
