Saturday, July 14, 2018

Families and supporters gathered today to celebrate and acknowledge some students who graduated from the Dannon Project. The Dannon Project is a supportive service offered to teenagers and young adults who have been given a second chance towards achieving life success.

The project takes on the task of making sure the students are well prepared for life’s transitions and don’t repeat a cycle of bad habits. The Dannon Project provides short term training and certifications, job prep and placement to help restore the lives of young adults and teens. Program manager Tamar Towns tells TV24 what the certificate means for the students.

The non-profit organization has impacted hundreds of people in different ways since it was first established in 2003. One of this year’s graduates, Kelsie Williams describes what this project has meant to her. The Dannon Project also has a presence in Birmingham and other surrounding areas.
