Lawsuit Against Attorney General Steve Marshall

The lawsuit against Attorney General Steve Marshall over contributions he received for his campaign have been dismissed. Marshall’s challenger Troy King filed the lawsuit accusing the Attorney General of receiving more than $700,000 in donations from the National Republican Attorney General Association.

King believes the donations came from state casino interests and state political action committees. Alabama banned transfers from one political action to another in 2010. King says the Republican Attorney General Association’s contribution is a violation of that state law.
