Cram the Van Event Aims to Assist Families with Back to School

Friday, July 20, 2018

It may be hard to believe this but children across East Alabama will be back in school in just a few weeks. That means that it’s time for back to school shopping. The Family Success Center in Gadsden is hoping that you will be generous enough to pick up a couple of extra items for others who need them. Executive Director Tammy Jackson explains the importance of the annual Cram the Van campaign, which kicks off this weekend.

All of the supplies collected through Cram the Van will be distributed equally to Gadsden City, Attalla City and Etowah County schools. Cram the Van will be set up outside the Walmart in Attalla this Saturday from 9am until 1pm and the Walmart in East Gadsden Saturday, August 4th from 9am until 2pm.

You can also make a monetary donation for school supplies at the Family Success Center, which is located on East Broad Street in Gadsden. You can also use Paypal and donate online at family-success.org.
