Sheriff's Deputy Hit by Suspected Drunk Driver
A Calhoun County Sheriff’s Deputy is recovering after his patrol cruiser got hit by a suspected drunk driver. Sheriff Matthew Wade posted this image to social media just after the accident last night on Highway 78. He said that the deputy is expected to be okay. Wade also said that Oxford police were quick to respond and make an arrest.
According to Oxford Police Captain L.G. Owens, the driver of the Jeep that hit the patrol cruiser was from Oklahoma. Bradley Culp is charged with driving under the influence of a controlled substance and second degree possession of marijuana.
