RMC Hands Keys of Jacksonville Hospital Over to JSU

Jacksonville State University now has a new space for teaching valuable skills. President John Beehler stood alongside CEO Louis Bass as the keys to Regional Medical Center in Jacksonville were officially handed over to JSU.

The hospital was forced to close its doors last month due to a decline in patient volume, and rising cost. Because of the March 19 tornado that hit the University’s campus, President Beehler says this is a special gift for the students.

The University plans to use the building as a living-learning community for nurses and health profession students. President Beehler also says he is excited to see how much of a positive impact the facility will have on the University.
