US Economy Sees Best Growth in Four Years
The US Economy is growing at its fastest pace in four years. Numbers released by the government today show the economy grew more than 4% during the second quarter. That’s the largest growth spurt since 2014.
Economists say the reasons for this growth spurt are the large increase in exports, government defense spending, and orders for durable goods. Unemployment is also the lowest it has been in 18 years. As we head into the third and fourth quarters, growth is expected to slow as interest rates rise and the effects of the recent tax cut wears off.
