A popular pizza restaurant has announced a nationwide Listening Tour. Papa John’s took to social media to announce that company leaders are traveling across the country to hear from customers, community partners, store owners and workers.
The nationwide tour is to help the company move past the controversy brought on by its former CEO and Chairman John Schnatter. He was forced to resign in July for using a racial slur during a conference call with the company’s former Ad agency. The announcement of the Listening Tour is the first move with the company's new ad agency, Endeavor Global Marketing.
Papa John’s 5,000 stores have instructions on how to remove Schnatter’s image from its stores. Schnatter, however, wants to be reinstated as the face of the company and has filed a lawsuit.
