Some students were able to get a head start to help prepare them for their very first day in school. United Way Success by Six held their last Kinder Camp before the school year begins next week. Kinder Camp is a camp for incoming Kindergarteners who want to get practice before their official big day. During the camp students learn how to go through the lunch line and walk through the halls.
When Kindergarteners arrive Tuesday for their first day, they will know their teachers and where their classrooms are. Director Emily Sims says it’s very important for students to get a head start. During the camp parents were also given helpful tips on things their children will need to work on at home to stay encouraged and be successful in the classroom.
