Grant Awarded to Allow Gadsden City Schools to Make Improvements

The City of Gadsden has partnered with Gadsden City Schools to make improvements to school safety in their school system. Superintendent Tony Reddick updated Mayor Guyton on issues within the city’s school system during today’s City Council work session.

Mayor Guyton proposed giving Gadsden City Schools $200,000 from the City’s new Capital Improvement Fund to invest in school safety as Reddick sees fit. Gadsden City School System will receive the funds immediately as they were allocated from the 2018 Fiscal Year budget.
