Gadsden State Male Tennis Players Receive Academic Honors

Six members of the Gadsden State Cardinals Tennis Team have received academic honors from the Intercollegiate Tennis Association. Joel Wester of Centre, Andrew Bennett of Pelham, Alexander Boozer of Moody, Charles Hannen of Enterprise, Stephen Walker of Cedartown, Georgia, and Abraham Kranendonk of the Netherlands have all been named 2018 ITA Scholar Athletes.

Gadsden State Tennis Coach Buster Stewart says it’s not an easy task to juggle tennis practices and matches with demands of the classroom but his players do both very well. To earn ITA Scholar Athlete status, a player must be a varsity letter winner and have a three point five grade point average or higher for the current academic year.
