Koch Farms Gets Approved for Tax Abatement

Koch Farms hatchery will get help from a tax abatement to hire more workers. During the Calhoun County Commission meeting, commissioners agreed to a 10 year tax abatement for $92,000.

Koch Farms expects to use the abatement to hire 30 more workers to help produce more chickens. The abatement will also help replace 50-year-old equipment to better clean and disinfect the one-million chickens the farm produces weekly.
