Tour and Ribbon Cutting for New Alexandria Middle School

Alexandria Middle School welcomed visitors to take a tour inside its new building. School officials held the official ribbon cutting over the weekend for the $14.1 million building. It features 24 classrooms, a state of the art media room, library, gym, and it is entirely energy efficient.

A wing of the building is designed specifically for special needs children. The community is looking forward to the positive impact the new middle School will have for years to come. Superintendent Joe Dyar told us it’s something everyone is proud of.

Dyar also said the students had an amazing first week of school and that the renovations to Wellborn High School are almost complete.
