Gadsden Has Two Men In Custody After Standoff
Two men were taken into custody after a standoff with police. Isreal Cameron and Keanu Mims have each been charged with Obstructing Government Operations. This morning, Gadsden police were called to White Avenue about a Domestic Disturbance. According to officers, a woman left the home, leaving her four-children inside with Mims and Cameron.
Police attempted to make contact with Cameron and Mims several times but were unsuccessful. Joint Special Operations, the Gadsden Fire Department, the Etowah County Drug Task Force and Sheriff’s Office were all called to the scene to assist. Shortly after, Mims and Cameron were arrested and taken to the Etowah County Detention Center and the children were returned safely to their mother.
Cameron was also charged with third-degree Domestic Violence and his bond is set at $2,000. Mims was released earlier today on a $1,000.
