myOn Reading Program

Also during the Gadsden city council meeting, officials announced a partnership with Gadsden City Schools to launch the my-On Reading Program. The program is a state of the art tool for students to allow them to access a digital library that would contain thousands of age appropriate books for students grade K through 12.

The program will also have the function to adjust to the student’s interest and reading level. This tool will help students access materials and build reading skills where ever they are. MyOn partner Christy Colee says they are excited to see what myOn does for the community of Gadsden. The myOn Reading Program is funded by the City of Gadsden’s appropriation of $300,000 for Reading and Math to Gadsden City Schools. The program will be fully implemented in two weeks and will also be added at the Community Center and the Boys and Girls Club.
