A man and woman from Gadsden have been arrested and charged with drug possession. Lashedrick Cross and Maliqua Crittenden were both taken to the Etowah County Detention Center after Gadsden Police responded to a 911 call from a home on Chestnut Street. When officers arrived, they located drugs while investigating the 911 call.
A search warrant was then executed and investigators arrested Cross and Crittenden after discovering illegal narcotics, marijuana, and a firearm inside the home. A two year old baby was also inside the home at the time of the search.
Cross and Crittenden were each charged with three counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance. Crittenden was also charged with Obstruction of Governmental Operations. Cross and Crittenden were both released on $6,000 bond each.
